Can I Make Money Online Using A Free Domain?

It's not a secret anymore at present that making money online is becoming the trend around the world. Of course, the US and the UK people had this going on for more than 10 years already, but the desire to earn online is increasing all over the world due to increasing access to Internet.

For instances, as I live in Malaysia, we hardly know about the Internet world back in 1995, left alone making money online. At that time, the only thing that lured me and my friends was the IRC - Internet Relay Chat. Chatting online was the only buzz at that time, anyone who didn't know how to chat online was considered as "nerd"...LOL. Another reason why making money online was not the main reason I went online was the Internet connection speed. The fastest speed during those years was around 56 to 112 kbps, using dial up services. At that ridiculous speed, opening up emails can easily heat up your body temperature!

Back to our main discussion here...;-)

Yes, you can always make money online using a free domain.

How is that possible?

There's a reason why they call it Web 2.0. As the demand to use the internet for myriad reasons has increased, giant companies started to provide services for the people to create pages on the net without the hassle of coding and laying out the pages. Blogger.com for instances is one of the providers. You can easily open up an account here at Blogger.com and then you can start posting anything and everything of your desire.

Then came the demand to earn money online using blogs. That's where the blog providers introduced the installment of adverts in blogs, so people can start putting their own desired adverts in their blogs.

In other words, it's not a secret anymore that you can make money online simply by registering a free blog with blogger.com or other blog provider like wordpress.com.

However, this is not entirely true in the sense of differentiating your page from others. It's a hard task to outshine your site from others if your blog's address is something like myblogisfreetoo.blogspot.com. It's easier to be recognized if your blog's address is something like freeblog.com. Why? It's shorter and easier to be remembered.

Then should I get a registered domain?

The answer is YES, if I am serious about making money online. No, if my intention is only to do some research first or if I'm just trying to experiment things.

If I am serious about making money online, then it's best for me to get registered domain.

How about the cost then?

The cheapest .com domain at present is around $3.99 which can be purchased online with credit card.

What if you don't have the money to buy one?

Or that you simply don't want to use your credit card online?
